Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues:
Welcome to our 12th edition of Velasco Chronicle and Buzz. We hope this newsletter finds you and your families healthy and safe.
It's been exciting to see the USA economy open, open under CDC guidelines. At the same time, we must remind ourselves that staying homes = saving lives, and we must continue with positive momentum moving forward, practicing all safety measures and do our best to support our local business safely. We at JVG want to continue to spread good vibes your way and hope/pray your family stays safe.
Some business are still closed under SIP, but we do want to promote and encourage you to support all your local restaurants, business that you can. We are thankful to our hero's working as first responders and health care employees.
I
n our monthly newsletter, we have always shared local activities in the three counties: San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara. With our country and current state being a Pandemic, we want to continue to promote and share our favorite virtual activities online. We believe that we as society need more than just the negative news daily and focus on what we can control.
We need comfort, friendship, and activities that will help us escape. Here are a few activities we researched, that will help us get through this next month.
As always, we have included our up to date Compass Market Reports from Patrick Carlisle, Compass Chief Market Analyst. Also, below are our Active/Coming Soon Listings, Property of the Month, and a segment of frequently asked questions regarding buying or selling during Covid-19.
JVG is always here to answer your questions. We look forward to connecting with you soon over ZOOM. Until then, enjoy!

Every-Citrus Salad With Almonds
and Manchego
Tart blood oranges, bitter grapefruit, and sweet navel oranges come together in this gorgeous recipe, perfect for celebrating in-season citrus. It’s worthy of special occasions but easy enough to throw together last-minute. The orange dressing is delicious and original, too, thanks to a combination of shallots, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard.

Google Earth is also offering 3D virtual tours of 31 national parks, from Acadia to Zion. The process here is similar to the way you explore World Heritage Sites, although for this one the flagged locations you’ll see from “space” do have nice lil photos of the respective parks instead of just that orange dropped-pin thing. Choose from there or from the list on the righthand side of the screen, and you’ll be promptly zoomed down into the park of your choice like one of those 3D IMAX movies.

The quartz-sandstone pillars of Zhāngjiājiè – pronounced jaang-jyaa-jie – were the inspiration for the floating peaks of the Hallelujah Mountains in James Cameron’s Avatar film. Their unique shape is caused by physical erosion from water, ice and the roots of trees and foliage. Take flight around these towering natural columns – some stretching up over 1,000 metres – in an interactive video tour exploring the site, and zoom into high definition 360 degree shots from the sky.

The Vatican
Right now, Vatican City — like many other public gathering spaces around the world — is completely empty. In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Italian government issued a national lockdown, causing Pope Francis to cancel all public appearances through April 3. In the meantime, you can get a glimpse of what the Vatican is like in real time with an around-the-clock live stream, which includes the Pope's daily mass.
